Why do my shins hurt after i jump rope?

  1. You are probably getting shin splints. Try wearing better shoes, that is shoes with more cushion in the soles, jump on a softer surface.

    Massage your shins and use ice after training.

    This is a problem some runners have also.  


  2. Yeah, you probably have shin splints. These are tiny fractures in shins. Try running or jogging backwards, it will strengthen the muscles in the front of your legs as opposed to forward which will strengthen the back.
