Why do my shuttlecocks keep breaking in badminton?

After about 15 minutes of playing I have to get a new one because it rips and breaks.

  1. Maybe your hitting it to hard or they are not good shuttlecocks because they keep breaking in badminton.I would say they are not a good brand of shuttlecocks.I can't think of anytime eles.Hope i helped


  2. Are you playing with feather or plastic?

    Try to hit flat with the racket face rather than slicing it. Slicing will destroy a shuttle fast.

    For plastic use a good brand such as the Yonex Mavis 300 or 500 - dont use all plastic shuttles (base should be cork filled).

    For feather, buy club grade shuttles - not tournament grade which dont last as long.
