Bad news always dominate the headlines. Open the pages of your newspaper and it's all negative and depressing. It's seldom to read good news. Why do they focus so much on negativity?

  1. Because most people like drama and see other people suffering.

  2. that is what everybody is interested in these days, shock factor, dah-ling!

  3. to keep the pubic in fear, so you buy things, things you dont need, things youve already got 6 of. Just incase tomorrow is the end!! TO CONTROL YOU!!!

  4. That's what gets ratings because we're all sick and twisted.

  5. Because that's what sells.  I mean, if there are two papers lying next to each other, one featuring a story on a kitten rescued from a tree, and the other on Madeline Macann, which do you think you would buy?  (And yes, I know these are lame comparisons, but I am not too much in a thinking mood haha).  And naturally, the people involved in what is shown want to make as much profit as they can, so yeah ...

  6. Because New Labour has been in power for over ten years and they are desperate to get back to the Tories supposed birth right of running the country.

  7. Dunno it's dumb, apparently its because people like to read shocking things also feel that at least their life is better than some of the sad things that happen. It's strange because personally I prefer reading encouraging or positive reports of things.
