When i went to Nigeria ,philiphines and india almost everyone there treat me like a king. Some of them want to take photo with me and treat me like a celebrity. I am just frequent traveller.

My question is why can't people from third world nation look high on themselves instead of admiring someone from other nation?

My asian friend told me that when a white person enter a shop, he get treated very nice compared to their own race. I find this very strange.

  1. hey i don't look up to no white man,

  2. Because white people are supposed to be "superior" and since white people have a lot of control, they put that thought in minorities heads because they can do that (money, power and respect)

  3. Well, especially in Asian countries, White people are looked at like Gods, Asians basically worship white people. Many of these people as you listed, see white people as superior peoples and that they can "save" them. It's more of a society status thing than it is the color itself.

  4. think about what it means to be "third world"

what do you look at and respect

think of the people you meet

does it have something to do with

    MONEY

    choice

    what is exotic

  5. The third world country rarely see white people. So of course they're gonna treat them like kings.

  6. You wanna let them look down on you then? Its nice that they look high on you that because the asian people have got the manner and they have very high culture and traditional. they always welcome and kind to everyone, not only the white people. but also asians have classicle social's system. they always prefer wealthy people and the "white" people are wealth in their vision?  for example 1 euro is 52 bath thai? =)

  7. They associate whites with wealth. A white man in a foreign land will have many women to choose from

  8. I don't know for sure...I haven't been to any of the countries you mentioned, but I went to Turkey a few years ago, and everyone was really nice to me there.  They would give me and my mom apple tea and pastry, this painter even gave me one of his paintings (all for free.)  Also, one family invited us into their house and made us coffee, and one shopkeeper lent us his umbrella when it was raining.  Still, I think they were just being nice, and maybe they were nicer because I'm American, and because I look kind-of Turkish (I don't look like my avatar), and because I was a child.  But I don't think they "looked high on" or, what you really mean I suppose is "looked up to" me.  I guess I don't know why they are so nice to Americans, but it isn't necessarily that they look up to us, there are other reasons for being nice.

  9. Erm, probably because over there, white people are a novelty.

Over here in Russia, where there are hardly anyone but Russians... any foreigner is treated like a celebrity (black, white or asian). Simply because we've never really seen one before.

  10. maybe they have never seen a white person. i am treated like a king whenever i walk into a white suburb, as the black-worshipping wiggers proceed to grovel at my feet.
