Well the NRL is sooooo BORING that they have got nothing better to do than have a jealous fit at AFL fans. Oh yeah and they know that they are not smart enough to follow our great game so I guess they are just envious that we are smarter than them!

Ok, heres an average percent for each state,

QLD,

57% NRL  43% AFL

NSW,

90% NRL  10% AFL

VIC,

4% NRL  96% AFL

TAS,

9% NRL  91% AFL

ADE,

8% NRL  92% AFL

WA,

3% NRL  97% AFL

NT,

13% NRL  87% AFL

All of these are massive differences as NRL is bigger up the northern part of Australia than the Southern. You would have a very large chance of making the big league as a NSWhalian and Queenslander but you would have a just plain stupid percentage of making the big one in the Southern part of Aussie. And you are not quite right an average AFL game raps up too 30 - 40,000 at a crowd and 15 - 25, 000 at a game. The grandfinals, hey what a difference, AFL 100,000 at a crowd and the NRl whopping up too about 120,000 as a crowd spectacular and record. But as I am a proud Australian I know that thisfight between both great games is a never ender, and if the AFL committy buys ANZ which will wrap up big bucks for the NRL could ruin the games future at the NRL. A big choice, but my game is and will always be the game of smarts, skill and stats, AFL of course.

I live in Sydney and I support Collingwood (please don't take this fact into consideration when picking best answer) and I get absolutely trashed at school because these Sydney people get off watching a bunch of 26 men running into each other. It doesn't make sense! Pick up the ball and collide head on with some poor b*****d. I also found out last night that David Gallop (CEO of NRL) is extremely paranoid about the AFL's 'Invasion' (expansion plans) into 'rugby league territory' (an area of Australia in which there are more rugby league teams than AFL, but still less average crowds.)

Okay, I know Sydney have poor attendance records, but remember, none of the QLD teams played at their home ground. Cowboys get 20,000 a game, broncos get 30,000 a game and titans get 20,000 a game so that make 70,000 in 3 games which is pretty good.

In 2000 essendon won 24/25 games including the grand final :D and they had 32,000 members

this year we have 2/9 and weve got 40,000+ members. this shows afl is becoming more popular and nrl are jelous
