  1. Ex-cuseeee me. But WHY do you care? Have you ever considered that they do not WANT to go on a diet? That they might just be happy with themselves?

Why do anorexic people refuse to eat?

Why do drug addicts refuse to give it up?

Why doesn't President George Dubya just give up his d**n job so he can something he was made to do? Or go ruin someone else's country? Or stop molesting his child?

Why do we order double fatty burgers but a DIET drink?

And you're no better. You're sitting in front of your d**n computer worrying about other peoples lives. Where is your family? Your life for the love of peter?

  2. whether someone is average weight or overweight, the person has to have their mind set on keeping a healthier lifestyle. Change is not easy for anybody but can be more difficult for some. not only that but people over eat for different reasons, and that needs to be addressed first before it will work.  so its not always that people refuse healthier lifestyles, they just need the right mindset and knowledge of how to take care of themselves.  Its not only people who are overweight that need to change their diet, you can be average size and still have health issues from eating a poor diet.

  3. well GEE sweetie, thats nice.has it occured to you that these people have ususally TRIED tons of diets and methods? or that alot of people eat because their depressed? so MAYBE insulting them doens treall help, now, does it?

  4. Some people (not just obese, but overweight too) just don't like the challenge of strict eating habits after not having them.  Change isn't always welcome with some people.  It sure is rewarding to do it though!

  5. Who says they refuse to go on a diet? The overwhelming majority of the obese have dieted, most within the past year, and among the morbidly obese, 4 out of 5 are either on a diet, or trying to lose weight by other means.

But diets just don't work very well long-term. When you lose significant weight, you get hungrier as time goes by (the opposite of an addiction, where the longer you abstain, the easier it gets). So most people end up yo-yoing. Dieting, then giving in to their craving, regaining, and then starting it all over again. Some people ultimately give up and figure they don't have the self-control, and they'd rather just try to be healthier in general or focus on other things. And if you can't keep the weight off, the next best thing is just trying to exercise and eat better as best you can and live with what happens. But that's not the same thing as "refusing."

  6. Because of that old saying.."Rather to be fat and happy, than skinny and unhappy" which is stupid, they see it like a disease, which in most cases it is not, it's just bad habits..

  7. I think in many cases of obesity, there is a psychological element that has to be overcome before the person can even begin thinking of improving his/her diet and lifestyle. In a lot of cases, the food is a crutch, like alcohol and drugs - they overeat to fill some void. I'm sure many obese people are seriously depressed and it is not easy to get out of that kind of a funk.

  8. most want to, but have little self control and determination which is how they get so fat in the first place, most people will see themselves putting on weight and stop it before it gets out of hand

  9. Not every obese person refuses to go on a diet. Many do make good attempts at losing the weight. Losing weight is hard work and it often comes off slow so people get discouraged and give up. Not everyone has money for gym membership and other tools that might help them out ( like weight watchers). Some big people have food addiction problems and that is not easy to get help with.

and then some are fine with the way they are...and that is their choice.

  10. Why do you care what they do with their own bodies. Get a life.

  11. They don't refuse, but they're still addicted to junk food. Being on diet takes a lot of effort and challenge but they don't have patience so they easily give up
