Why do obsolete groups like feminism, unions ect, only talk about the past?

Why can't they talk about present contributions?.

They don't. Not nearly as much as bitter men who progressive society has left behind, moaning and kvetching and wishing to return to some arbitrary past in which they didn't have to actually accomplish anything to earn respect.

Also I disagree that unions are obsolete, some are corrupt and a pain in the butt to people who have to deal with them, but overall I believe there are still issues of workplace relations which are best dealt with by unions rather than an unorganised, non-unionized workforce.

very interesting questoion that really shows the depth of your understanding.  Femmies all talk the same talk and read the same blog to keep their stories the same.  Always the same, every single one of them with no exception.  They all think the same, talk the same, act the same, look the same, and they all know each other.  There is never anything new, since it would mean that some know more than others.  They all know the same things.  Every one of them.  All of them.  You are very observant to sense this.

Well, feminists do.

We're currently working to bring livelihood and healthy living to women and children in Africa, mostly. Check out Kiva (google it.) Oprah has set up several ways to assist women in Africa, as have doctors without borders, etc. I read about a wonderful doctor who refused to "check" the obviously healthy men who felt they were more important that the obviously ill and injured women at the back of the line. The men fought it, but they eventually went away until the women had been seen. Sick and dying from rape and childbirth and being beaten by the same men! The audacity!

Feminists work to stop atrocities like that.
