Why do old people like to look down on the younger generation?

Back in the days it was easier to do and get things. Such as education requirements which were more lax than today, things are more expensive, and etc.So why do old people like to criticize the younger generation.We do have our faults but not as much as our elder peers.The only thing I do not really like about the current generation is the lack of discipline and carefree attitude, but that was the same for the older generation as well

    By the way, "elder peers" is an oxymoron.


  2. its called 20-20 hindsight people always think things were better before. its a defense mechanism against the uncertainty of the future
