  1. Maybe because they have absorbed enough of life whilst they have been here that, this is what becomes...Sad but somewhat apparent... : -\

  2. first hormonal activities are much slower than before,

second, the skin composition is more dry hence the hormones combined with the sweat and all other dirt in the atmosphere are dried with the skin, ^_^

  3. Older and elders mean the same thing.

What is the smell, is it bad, is it like a hospital smell?  Anyway, elders, like small children need help too.

    Love and God Bless

  4. skin, lungs, organs older than 60+ years tend to have their own odor.

    you too, will experience this.

  5. I guess I'm the only one who'll give you an intelligent answer.I was raised exclusively around seniors, except for my mom.The truth is,most of them just don't bathe.I was always around over a half doz. of them and only 2 were regular bathers.People get so huffy if you dare to say something against an old person, which I think is nuts. And how many of these defenders of the elderly actually live with them or experience with them. Most I knew didn't wash their clothes either. So you combine never washing your clothes or yourself, and yeah, they smell. It doesn't seem to bother them, and I was made to feel it was just ridiculous that I showered every day. They are a breed onto themselves.

  6. If it's true their smell is distinctive, two factors out of possibly many could be that they might have an impaired sense of smell and that they might have older-fashioned tastes in perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, deodorants, etc.

  7. because no on wants to sponge bath them
