Why do opiates make you itch?

especially the nose!

not all of them make everyone itch- I've taken various ones for surgeries etc- I recall only one of them making my torso & legs itch.

I believe opiates stimulate relase of histamine in the body.

my doctor told me to take benadryl to stop the itch.

They don't for most people.  You may be sensitive, or even allergic; talk with your doctor, and stay away from them until you can.

they numb your nerves ..its a pain killer ..keep it up you will kill your nervous system
