  1. Because if we are not able to maintain our environment than how we hope to sustain our life on the earth planet.  To save the earth from pollution, it has become very essential for all of our to save the earth from polluting agents.  UNO and other international organisations think that time has come to awaken the citizens of this world to save the planet now.

  2. Because there's no long-term future to development that's unsustainable. Once the resources are depleted, you no longer have an organization. An excellent modern day example - the fishing industry - commercial fishing has been done at a level fish populations couldn't possibly sustain - the result, no industry.

  3. Organisations want to be perceived by the environmental community to be caring for the environment so they will attract customers who really do care.

Big companies only care about profits and if claiming they care earns them more money then they will do just that, otherwise they wouldn't bother.

  4. sustainable development mean that we do not waste the future in order to have what we want now.

while business organizations think of fast earnings, other organizations think also on the long term issue, such as the world in which our children and grandchildren will live in.
