Why do our ears ring after a loud concert?

  1. There are tiny hairs inside your ear that act as a barrier or filter for sound.  When you are exposed to extreme frequencies (high OR low) those hairs are destroyed and allow different ranges of sound in.  The ringing is a readjustment.  This is a permanant situation.  Your hearing can only adjust so much.  Thats why you have some musicians have issues in thier careers.

  3. That frequency has been destroyed in your eardrum. Your eharing has been permanently damaged. The hearing never actually returns in the ears, your ears adjust.

  5. The decibel level at a concert is extremely high. The closer you stand to the speakers the worse the damage to your hearing. I've actually got mild hearing loss in my Right ear because of concerts
