Why do packaged crescent rolls pop when you open them?

  1. packaging at the factory. AND

    they are crammed in there and they grow a bit after packaging and the gasses that are escaping from the dough cause pressure


  2. The dough contains yeast and has been compressed in a can.  So when it opens it expands right away.

  4. it's very airtight to keep it fresh. it pops because of pressure
