Why do pain pills make me so angry?

I got perscribed darvocet for my migrains because I've tried every medication yes even imitrex and execdrin migrain. The only thing I don't like is when it's starting to wear off I get really irritable and angry. Can anyone tell me why? I only take one pill and darvocet is suppose to be a more mild narcotic. Also off the subject of narcotics my Doc perscribed cymbalta and I really don't feel any better. In fact I feel even more moody. I don't know if I should wait a while or what but I don't like this feeling one bit. has anyone else experienced this side effect? And can someone recomend a good antidepressant for anxiety and ocd????? Thanks so much everyone who answered! :)

From the health and science Univ in Houston Texas everything you take has side effects. The best thing for me with dealing with some of your same issues, group classes were more a plus,

than all the different color and side effects of  all the pills. The pills made the problems worse. I was in an every day side effect.Till  my skin started haveing bad side effects  from all the pills. You can try different pills but, for years they made things in my life worse. Now every day its better for me, hopefully this may help you!

1) perhaps the pain meds are wearing off== increased anxiety, and anger

2)migraines should be treated in a preventative fashion

-- beta-blockers (propranolol, atenolol)

-- calcium channel blockers (diltiazem or verapamil)

3)cymbalta is usually used for long-term body pain, and depression

4)my opinion for anx & ocd:

a) buspar- for anxiety, more mild, has been around for a long time, full onset up to 4 weeks

b)paxil is best ssri for anxiety

c)depending upon the ocd severity

---- add clomipramine

----or use luvox in place of paxil & clomipramine

5)please see a specialist (neurologist, and psychiatrist) for the most effective treatment
