Why do parents drive like idiots at schools while dropping kids off?

Because they cannot get up an extra 10 or 15 minutes, it is just to much trouble for them.

Just another one of those troubling things that we have to deal with.  I think that people are impatient and tired and in a hurry to get to the next thing.  If we all just slowed down and tried to be in the moment we would find joy in these tasks that can seem stressful like dropping the kids off at school.  When the kids are in the car they talk about all kinds of things.  Parents that are thinking about what they have to do next and are angry at someone for driving slow or taking the spot that they wanted are probably not enjoying the time that they are getting with their children.  Very sad.

Half the people you meet are below average (Man this statement answers a lot of question). They get impatient very easily, and speed.

My big problem isn't with their speed so much, but their stupidity when dropping off their kids. I think I see 2-3 almost-accidents when I pick up my sister from school. It also takes twice as long to pick her up because everyone parks where they shouldn't

According to school zone, if children is present, speed limit is 20 mph.

Parents speed up because they're impatient and not paying attention.

Also, parents are require to stop on red signal/stop sign on school bus including two-way except if two-way is divided by median.

I must agree. Parents are much like their teens, impatient. If the world slowed down and took a breath, then it would prevent even the almost accidents and yelling at other drivers while in the car.
