  1. Depending on the place you go to have the piercing done, it COULD be a threat to your health! Also, your parents might be worried about the sexualization of their little girl. Besides, every piercing has the potential to scar, or become infected. Most likely, they just don't want you putting holes in your body!

  2. Because we dont want boys staring at your navel.

  3. While its not my favorite look, I would MUCH rather my daughter get her belly pierced than a tattoo - like you said, its not permanent.

I find that many girls that have their belly pierced though, do NOT cover it up most of the time.  The whole point of doing it is to show it off, so I see these girls in midriff baring outfits alot.  Not a look I'd like for my daughter.  Just my opinion!

  4. it can be a very big threat to health they can get very infected if not taken care properly. but also most states you have to be 18 to get piercings..If your under 18 and your parents dont want you to get piercings thats there choice.

  5. they think when u get it done, ur gonna want to flash it off to everyone, i mean i can see the reason of this, why get something no ones gonna ever see? my parents let me get one because i told them it would really make my self esteem increase. and so far (2 years) it has substantially. nobody hardly sees it, but they know its there. i wear kinda tight shirts and i like the large dangly belly rings. theyre just afraid ur gonna become a w***e. just dont ask to pierce ur C**t...

  6. I got my belly button done when I was 16.  I think that's a good age because you're usually full grown by then so it won't stretch out.  It's kind of boring really unless you are in a bikini and live by the beach.  No beach where I live, so I don't show it off at all.

  7. I guess it's because parents see belly piercings as something "sexual". My mother and I never have thought of it as something sexual we just think it's another piercing but it's not on your ears or on your face. That's how my mother and I always been though.

My mother doesn't object to belly piercings, I never asked though because I never wanted one and I still don't. For me it's because when am I gonna show it off? I wear a one piece when I'm swimming and until I get more trim and drop a couple of pounds - nobody is going to see my belly except for myself and maybe my mom.

My mother and I don't like them or love them, we couldn't care less. Having a belly piercing doesn't make you easy, or S****y, or a w***e. My mother and I personally believe that unless you were to actually sleep around with someone, cheat on someone, or get paid to have s*x then you're really neither of those things - unless you have actually performed those acts I just listed above.

Having a belly piercing isn't going to make you run out and have s*x with random guys or anything (some person at my mom's work thinks this) that's not the belly piercing that makes you do that, it's yourself and your hormones.

My mom and I are not against any piercings, in fact when I joked about getting my toungue pierced she actually thought I was serious and was going to take me - I still laugh over this.

My mom and I are against getting piercings the stupid way. If you can't afford to get it so you're just going to go any dirty, disgusting place and you'll risk getting an infection - don't do it. That's what my mom and I think is absolutely stupid. That's what both my mother and my opinions.

  8. My mom's biggest question was "well, who is going to see it?"- She just didn't want me showing it off.

  9. because its TRASHY

  10. Because what is the point of having it pierced?  Obviously you want people to see it and it draws attention to your stomach which in is suggesting sexual ideals in peoples minds.    I did get mine pierced when I was 18 but later took it out.

  11. Actually it can be a threat to your health. Any time you poke a hole through your body, you are more prone to infection.

I wouldn't object to my daughter getting one though, provided she goes to a reputable piercer and takes proper care of it.

  12. Well, wait until you're 18, and you can do whatever it is that you want to do with your body without your parents permission...  If its covered, why do you want it??  People get it to show it off.

  13. because your parents dont want boys to think you easy/cheap and they care about you.

i have two boys but if i had a daughter...h**l no that wouldnt happen. and i agree it looks completely trashy/S****y.

  14. 1. Because it's trashy

    2. Because it's very trashy

    3. Because it's not even in style anymore

    4. Because guys will look at you and think you are easy

    5. Did I mention it's trashy?
