Question:

Why do parents vaccinate with out educating first?

Vaccinations were invented during the great depression when people were getting sick from close living quarters, in-adequate food & water supply and often went to the bathroom in the same room where they ate, so any disease spread fast.

So why in our sanitary living conditions today are parents choosing to inject a live (but milder) virus into a newborn baby and their children? Babies immune systems are very weak and have a hard enough time fighting off common germs not to mention the virus from the vaccine they are injecting. Most patients that recieve any vaccine show signs of the disease that was injected any way, ranging from a fever to the flow blown disease. Why vaccinate when you get sick from the vaccine itself anyway? Why not take the chance of getting it naturally or never getting the disease at all, rather than injecting it right into the blood stream!?

There are also very dangerous ingredients in vaccines that are harmful to the human body including; formaldehyde, thimerisol (a form of mercury) and other questionable ingredients such as human embryo and bovine protiens.

The D.P.T shot given at birth, 2,4 and six months is estimated to only work 59%-90% of the time. Any immunization you receive comes with a waver you must sign that states the health care facility is not responsible for complications...including learning disabilities, autism , hyperactivity , brain damage and/or even death.

WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WOULD SIGN AWAY THERE CHILD LIKE THAT?? when they might never encounter that disease in their life time and if they do could fight it off naturally.

Some Western european countries have stopped mass immunizations of the D.P.T shot because they have decided that the risk of the side effects is greater than catching the disease naturally.

I am 23 and have never been vaccinated. I have never had any life threatening illness. I rarely get sick and am healthier than the next person.

I have gone to public school and there are wavers you can sign so you do not have to be vaccinated.

The reason that I have never had a life threating illness, Is not because the people around me have been vaccinated( Immunized people are still contagious, I also have been exposed all my life to many other people that have never been vaccinated) it is because I take care of my body, eat right and find alternatives to vaccines, in turn I have a strong immune system.

I believe in vaccinating only if I know I am going to be exposed to the disease and can not help avoiding it.

Please only comment back if you have researched for yourself and have not been told the facts by another person(or doctor).

  1. In today's news (MSN Health) there is a huge article on a measles outbreak, due to parents who don't have their child vaccinated.  In my opinion any parent who does not have their kid vaccinated is setting their child up for getting the very diseases that could kill them.  Why put your child at risk?  Vaccinations did not erradicate the diseases, they are still out there, and a non-vaccinated child can get them.  My goodness, if you can protect your child with a simple shot, why wouldn't you?  There is no definitive connection between vaccinations and autism, and the amount of mercury is very very small.  Please do more research.  I have done thorough research and determined that I wouldn't want to take the chance by not vaccinating my child, and she has had all shots available, and will soon be getting the vaccination for menengitis and the one for cervical cancer.

  2. Because the average american parent is so brainwashed by society telling them what to do(hence the doc's)that they dont want toTHINK for themselves! We are totally brainwashed in this country that we MUST DO and OBEY the doc's or else! This twisted brainwashing needs to stop and the only way it will stop is when parents quit allowing others to think for them!

  3. Both my kids have been vaccinated and they didn't have any problems from any of the shots.  For every study or report you can find saying the shots are harmful, I can find a study or report saying they are fine.  It is up to the individual parents to determine if vaccination is best for their child.  It is not your decision to make for another persons child and therefore not your right to criticize parents that do.

Also, I didn't sign any waivers when my kids were vaccinated.  I signed a sheet of paper in their medical file along with the nurse giving the shot saying my child did indeed received the shot, but trust me, there was no waiver.  I do know people who did have to sign a waiver, but like you said it was to protect the health care facility, i.e. the nurse giving the shot and the doctor's office.  And big deal, if your child is one of the few that has problems, it's not the fault of the nurse or doctor.

As a parent you will have to sign waivers for you kids.  I just signed one for my son to play baseball.  It said if my kid gets hurt while playing, the youth league is not responsible.  Should I not let him play?

    Edit:

You should check out what the small pox vaccination did to that disease.

  4. Parents that don't vaccinate their children not only put their children at risk but others as well.

It's like smoking: if you want to hurt yourself fine, but what you're doing hurts others as well.

  5. I didn't have a choice. While dealing with a custody battle I knew my daughters father would use the fact that my daughter didn't get all recommended vaccines. He tried it once in court and after that even against my own will my daughter received many vaccinations I wouldn't have allowed her to have, but only because it was that or lose custody.

  6. I almost died from measles at 2 yrs old ..there was no vaccine and that sickness was so painful and so intolerable I remember it all 43 yrs later. We have immigrants coming in with all kinds of illnesses just like we did in 1863. I wouldnt reccomend sending a kid to school without a vaccine ..homeschooled take your chances. I would at least get the major shots ..chicken pox you can skip it is better to get the antibodies and make the immune system stronger.

  7. I'm curious what your diet is....do you eat canned food, any processed food, cheese, milk, meat.  How much research have you done with that?  Also, what type of car do you drive....an eco-friendly car, walking, bike riding?  Do you recycle?  I mean, the list can go on and on.  I'm glad that YOUR parents researched vaccinations.  With anything in this world, we have pros and cons.  A person can really go mad if they abstained from everything that CAN be potentionally bad for us or the planet.

  8. Well, they vaccinate them so that the Baby's immune system can fight off the disease, thus making the immune system stronger so that the disease will not affect them, instead of them not getting a vaccination and end up having the disease loads of times with the full symptoms. That is why they do it.

  9. The reason you never got sick is because the population at large generally does vaccinate.  So, in essence the rest of us kept you healthy.  With the large number of illegal immigrants coming into the US these days I'm not going to rely on the general population to keep my kids from getting measles, mumps, polio, diptheria, and all the other horrible diseases we vaccinate against.  These diseases are still out there and very much active in the world population.  Your immune system can only do so much.  maybe you should do some research about what vaccines can do, when the salk vaccine was introduced inthe late 1950's the number of polio cases in the US fell from 58,000 to 121 in about 10 years.

  10. I have researched it, talked to other parents, talked to many Drs and decided that my children aren't going to be one of the ones suffering from an illness I may be able to prevent.  Have you not been listening to the news or anything lately.  There is a major outbreak of measles AGAIN because of parents who didn't vaccinate their children.  Children are together 5 days a week in school you know.  Unless your children are going to stay home 24/7 never going out in public, they will be exposed to many illnesses.  I spent many years reading research about vaccines before having my own children.  I also talked to parents who had their kids vaccinated and to a mom who didn't (and 3 of her children died of measles complications because of it).

  11. I am older and some vaccines were not available when I was younger.  I had what is called the German Measles twice and was very, very sick with them.   I had what they called the Hard Measles once and again, I was sick, sick, sick.  I had the chicken pox at 16 and was out of school for 2 weeks.  I remember the worldwide relief when the Salk vaccine was discovered for polio and going to the local school with thousands of other people and getting a sugar cube with the vaccine dripped onto it.  I got my daughter vaccinated because I did not want her to get sick like I did.  I was not a sickly child, I was very active and into sports of all types throughout my school years.  We just did not have vaccines for the common childhood illness back then.  People born in the 60's and beyond were lucky to be able to be vaccinated and not have to suffer with these childhood illnesses.  I was not going to allow my daughter to go through that.  Most childhood diseases have been eradicated because of vaccines.  My biggest concern is that if people chose not to vaccinate their children and for some reason there is a sudden outbreak of these diseases, we are going to have a lot of sick children and even adults and the outcome could be devastating.

By the way, the measles vaccine was discovered in 1953 and the Salk polio vaccine was made available to the public in 1960....not during the great depression.  And I can assure you, I lived in a city that had proper sanitation facilities, good clean drinking water, proper disposal of waste materials and we actually had a flush toilet in a room separate from where we ate our food.  As I recall, seeing photos of my parents and the homes that they lived in during the Great Depression, they also lived in clean, sanitary conditions and they too did not p**p in the same room that they ate!  You need to study history a bit more.  You are talking about the way people lived during the 15th and 16th centuries!

  12. I have researched and I did get my daughter vaccinated.  What you think is right in your eyes is not in other peoples eyes.  Why does it bother you so much, what other people do with their children?

*By the way my brother, sister and myself were vaccinated as babies/children.  Im 23 also and I have never had any serious illness', neither have they.  So who's not to say you just didnt get lucky there.*

  13. I think you feel holier-than-thou and that stinks.  I've been vaccinated and never had a serious illness either.  Your facts don't make you any different than me or my children.  What exactly is your question here?  It looks more like you just want to complain about someone doing something differently.

People are ALL different and if I choose to vaccinate my child, that's my business, not yours.

  14. Hmm... it's my business what I do with my kids not yours..and most of us are educated about what we do to our kids...so why are you one to judge..... BTW what I do with my children's health is not your concern.

  15. People think that doctors are right 100% of the time and to question them is wrong.
