  1. In hot water the molecules are much faster and so every process is faster. In cold water of course, it's the opposite.


  2. because particles in hot water have higher level of energy.

What is temperature, after all?  It is a measure of how fast the atoms are moving around bouncing off of each other.  The faster they move, the more collisions, the "hotter" something is.  So hot water has considerably higher number of collisions per second than cold water.  It is when the atoms of these two substances collide that they "diffuse".

  4. Because temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of particles.  

    They move faster at higher temperatures, therefor defuse faster.
