  1. Because of the warm weather.

(It's wise to wait until hurricane

    season is over )

  2. Unpack once, see many islands.  Just another day in Paradise.  Listen to to Jimmy Buffet and/or Kenny Chesney and then you'll already be there in your mind.

It's like a beach vacation only 100x better

  3. You get a week at sea in mid-Atlantic and it is just so peaceful (and it was hurricane season - Vince, Wilma, Alpha, Gamma and Delta!)

The birds flew around the ship as it was the safest "land" available.

Arriving at each of the islands is also a great experience as you see them all as individual places and in a short time and without the hassle of air flight.

  4. Weather and beauty

  5. this site has great info http://allcruiselines.info

  6. I can't answer for everybody, but I will answer for myself.  Cruises to the Caribbean mean a trip with wonderful people to the closest thing on Earth to paradise.

I've cruised the Caribbean many times, sometimes with family, sometimes on my own, and sometimes as a part of a singles group.  Most places were Paradise, only the vulgarity of the US Virgin Island tours traps were the downfall.  Snorkle, swim, and got to places to swim with the dolphins and enjoy a water park like Xcaret is special.  The voyage on the Carnival Sensation lived up to it's name; it was the singles cruise with a woman named Jenny, a wonderful Korean girl... who wanted to see my inside single traveler cabin... intimately.

Why the Caribbean?  They are wonderful ports!  Why cruise ships?  They are tops in transport, food, entertainment, and ...meeting people?

  7. You see the beautiful islands, meet the people, get great weather, as long as you don't go during the hurricane season, and you see the wonderful colour of the ocean and you are on a great cruise ship.

What other reason do you need.

Visit http://www.cruisecritic.com and read the forum boards and you will see why people go cruising to the Caribbean.

  8. For many of the same reasons people cruise to other areas.  However, the advantages of the Caribbean are year round warm weather, year round warm water, many great beaches and it is close to the United States (where many people begin their cruise from).
