Why do peopel assume its only kids who get bullied if your a single?

I agree.  There are those among us who will seek to assert their dominance over those who don't have the physical strength to fight them off.

If and when we find ourselves in this vulnerable position, we must take preventive measures to even the playing field somewhat.

For example, if we are a senior citizen, we can choose to stay in at night and carry a deterrent, such as pepper spray, when we venture out during the day.

Unfortunately, we may eventually need to rely on defensive measures rather than the projection of self confidence and assertiveness to get us through the day.
