Why do people FEAR Muslims, and NOT Mormons, Satanist, Catholics, Baptist, etc...?

You have to remember we all have some fredom in our worship, to who and how. The fear comes from a few places, the place that would be the nicest is that people are genuinly concerned that another living person may very well end up in h**l with out proper consultation. the other one is that any religion has the power to wipe out another religion. and who wants their religion parished? no one. the most simple thing is to say that everyone has a belief. i believe eveyone has the choice to whom they worship, im assuming that most places believe that but they also take 'care' of those who choose differently because they dont a contamination. like a plague, beliefs can spread. we all believe to fight for our religion but god also says obey the laws of the land be that i lived in a place that worshiped differently than i thought was right, i should not just stand up but i should pray quietly to my savior and if i get caught tell the world that i have not sinned and ect.... im sure not all musslims are really musslims, it is much deeper than that. musslims may very well be affraid of us. we all have made great immpresions. when we go to war it is never just because os something, religion is always involved and its going to get much worse i believe. we as americans have great power to them as we are afraid of the power they hold. thats the best i can think

becouse thay see muslims chanting death to america on tv.thay see the tradetowers in new york city  full of americans beaing distroyed by muslim lunaticks crashing planes into them. i dont see christians or sationest or mormans,catholics baptist etc doing that. thare are good and bad in all races and moast relidgions. fear breeds hate peaple ingenerial fear the unknown and what thay do not or cannot understand.and many donot or cannot understand why theese peaple hate them , us. so bad what did we do to them i did nothing to them  thay think and take the atacks personially ....i have iranian neighbors that are decient peaple  thay say that those peaple chanting death to america get payed to do that.. vlaud the impaler was out to kill ,imprison and torture enyone that oposed him or was poor or differant.no wander he was portrayed as a blood sucker.

It's really sad for the Muslims who aren't into suicide bombing, beating their wife's and all of that crazy stuff. Unfortunately, most people feel un-easy about Muslims because of the whole claiming jihad on the US thing. All we really see in the media is all the insane Muslims so people aren't really getting a positive view of them. So people understandably feel threatened by them. Look what some crazy Muslims did to this country. I completely understand it. Because of what those f***ing sick insane b******s did on 9/11 they have ruined the lives of not only US citizens but they have made things hard for their people who live in this country. It's sad and unfair. I'm sure that not all Muslims are radical like that but it is the only religion that straps AK-47's on a 7 year old and tells them to kill in the name of their God. Natrally people are going to be a little cautious about people who are involved in a religion that is connected to (in their minds) terrorism. Belive me if christians were doing stuff like that people would be just as afraid.

First of all Vlad was not using impalement for those who would not convert he used it to terrify Muslim invaders to the point they did not want to finish the conquest. The Crusades were not for conversion but to reclaim lands conquered earlier by the Muslims.The Baptist have never been involved in violence. The rest of it has to do with today, American Christians do not advocate violence while Muslims do!

Well, in modern times, only Muslims fly planes into buildings, use car bombs, engage in suicide bombings, etc.  Other religions don't do stuff like this.

First off, I'm most terrified of Mormons (of the groups you've identified), but that's from having been one. So.

By "people," I presume you mean Americans, since it is, I believe, a mostly American sentiment. Also, being of any particular Christian denomination is to be part of the majority in America and, generally speaking, the majority isn't afraid of the majority. And then there's the whole business with Al-Qaeda. The American government has done a poor job of separating Muslims from radicalists/jihadists. Since most people's first confrontation with Islam was from September 11th, they have a tendency to paint all Muslims with the same brush, wrongly so. The "immediate" threat to people today comes from terrorists which, for the most part, happen to embrace a radical Islamist ideology. The crusades were quite a bit ago, so to say that we should be afraid of them due to something that ended centuries ago is a bit...well, incorrect.
