Why do people Over Exaggerrate Tarvaris Jackson's first season?

I know people will laugh at me and tell me that Jackson is the worst QB in the league, He went 8-4 for his first years as starter the other QBs on the roster of course went 0-4...which of course means he started 12 games...I mean this what I think these "fans" are basing their argument off of, They look at every QB and expect them to throw 30 Touchdowns every year,Jackson manged to throw 9 with the Receivers he had..and probably would of had more if Sidney Rice didn't miss every other game he had 12 interceptions I understand that as bad but not so Horrible you should want him to quit Football, I mean these fans could look at a QB that threw 24 Interceptions and call him good because he managed to throw 25 Touchdowns mainly because that QB probably had receivers and horrible accuracy, They also take this in their argument, They watched the Detroit Lions game in week 2 he did bad...in only his 3rd pro start of course he'll be nervous, They watch the Packers game where Minnesota lost 34-0 and say "Hey look Tarvaris sucks" Hey idiots..he didn't start that game that was the scrub of a QB Brooks Bollinger starting that game, Than they go to Monday Night his first official game on Monday Night and you can expect a QB on his first live broadcast nationally to be nervous...But he managed to bring them downfield late in the game for AP to score and they won, Than they watch the Redskins game they saw the first half 2 interceptions and said he sucks and shutit off when it was looking like a blowout 23-0 at Half, if you watched the second half Tarvaris threw a Touchdown and rushed for two Touchdowns as Minnesota lost 32-21 (he also almost scored another TD like 2 minutes near the end) That was clutch moment for him if only the rest of the Team kicked in,Than they go to next week and see that Minnesota lost to Denver...Minnesota should of won 26-19..this is why http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WZNyYouzuk good riddance Troy "Stone hands" Williamson, In that game Tarvaris just like in the Redskins game showed cluth by scoring 16 points in the Fourth Quarter with two Touchdown passes...but of course you'll tell me he's the worse QB in the league...but I would like to point out, Rex Grossman, Chad Pennington, Trent Dilfer, anyone on the Dolphins, anyone on the Falcons I could keep going but Tarvaris is one of those QBs that had a normal First year...What about Troy Aikmen?...didn't win a game in his first season played what? like 12 games, the year after that had a big comeback season and than from thier was awesome...for Jackson's First year I give him a B for effort

My question is just like stated...why do people Over Exaggerate QBs now a days?

Yes I know you won't read it so I should say something bad and you wouldn't notice...thats whats wrong today..Everyone is "Too good" for reading when it could be interesting

In Tavaris's case its because he wasn't from a high ranked school (alabama state) so hes on alot shorter leash then say a Matt Leinart or a or  Vince Young. That being said if he is going to show hes the guy for the future he has to show signs of it this year. Although last year was a decent year. Alot of those passes with dink and dunk to check down routes. With both him Sidney Rice in their second year he should show improvement in the deep route and jump balls and AD with Chester Taylor the play action pass should be his bread and butter.

Another tib bit. No team as seem to find the formula of the " mobile quarterback" not Dan Morino mobile as in pocket presents but Mike Vick, Vince Young, Cordell Stewart type of quarterbacks. The guys that are at any time the top 5 fastest players on the feild. and the chance of Tavaris Jackson breaking that mold. Is possible but in my opinion unlikly. but ill be rooting for them even tho im a panthers fan (Steve Smith is my body Guard)

Wow i've heard of Francis Tarkenton on NFL networks top 10 lists but that was waaaaaaaaaaay b4 my time ( im 21) but from what i saw of him it was all basicly improvision not like set opinion plays or like pushing the ball towards the line of scrimmage on a bootleg to have the linebackers bite on the run the pass over the top.

With the proper tutelage T.Jackson can be a very good QB and it was sad to see alot of Vikings Fans attempt to dismiss him in favor of Favre.

The biggest problem now is that everyone wants to win now so the development of a young QB is not as important as it used to be.

When the Cowboys, Steelers and 49ers had their dynasties they earned their Superbowls by developing the young talents on the team

Now you buy your Superbowl and unfortunately someone that has potential gets tossed like a T. Jackson

Well everyone wants a QB to come out and throw 5 Touchdowns and 400 yards but it doesn't work that way. He had some quality starts this year that really made him look like a veteran quarterback. In my opinion one of his best qualities that most quarterbacks don't possess is he knows when to give the ball to Adrian Peterson. I think in a few years Jackson and Peterson can make a successful pair. Once jackson improves his arm he will be a dual threat because he can already run
