Why do people always assume that when somebody posts a question in baby names they're pregnant?

Because generally the people who ask about baby names ARE pregnant or planning on it, and don't think about baby names otherwise. Yes, sometimes they aren't, and people shouldn't make assumptions,  but I really don't think it matters. If you're interested in names then I don't think there's any thing wrong with using this site to share your ideas, but you shouldn't be offended that people assume you're pregnant when you phrase your questions in such a way that it seems like you might be. If you're really concerned, just state in you're question that you aren't pregnant, just interested in names.
