Why do people always say they want to kick someone butt instead of like their arm or something

what is so important about the butt that makes people want to kick instead of like their shoulder or something...why ***?

Really quite simple, you don't have to kick as high, plus you get better momentum when you kick lower, it intensifies the pain. I know what it feels like to have a broken bone near the lower part of your back, near the behind. Please, let me assure you, it takes much longer for this to heal than a broken arm or broken shoulder.

And 40 some odd years later, you are still feeling that pain in the butt. When I was in my early 20s, I was thrown from a horse and broken several vertebrae from the bottom of my lumbar, cracked the rest of the bones the rest of the way down my spine.

And when the weather changes, I feel every bone in that region.

The butt is the best part of the body. So when you want to kick someone, you should go for their best part. Don't settle for second best.

Like when a baby falls on its butt cause he/she cant fully walk yet, it is humiliating for the baby so they probably want to humiliate the person they dont like.

First of all, that's a figure of speech.  One doesn't literally kick butt, or at least that's not what one mainly does.  It means to beat someone up.

The butt is a person's base.  It's the seat (no pun intended) of power in a person's body, from a musculature point of view.  So to overcome a person in that place, figuratively speaking, means that you've defeated them at their strongest point.  In other words, you've gained a complete victory over them.

because the butt is lower to the ground and thus they don't have to kick so high. plus your butt actually has 2 targets (or cheeks) so there is less of a chance of missing like say if I aimed at your arm and accidently kicked you in the chest. then I would look foolish since I just said I was going to kick your arm! :)
