Question:

Why do people answer with wrong information?

I have read many questions and answers and seem to find answers with information that is completely wrong. Why do people find the need to actually answer something when they clearly do not know the answer. And if they feel they have a valid answer, how come they cannot site a reference? (I know somethings don't call for a reference, but many do).

  1. its often just their opinion.

  2. Some people feel they are too smart or they do it for the kick they get out of this

  3. 1. to get more points

    2. To tell something

When I read a question, I want to answer with my little brain. My information can be old / wrong but as per my opinion it can be true. Never trust all. Read all and act. In any case, you get more than 1 answers / opinon and you can choose the best. Some answers are only for fun. I give answers only for fun after visiting.

  4. Because they believe they really have correct information, even if they are wrong?

It's not isolated to here, for instance I've had doctors tell me one thing then go to another doctor and they tell me something completely different.  Everybody has an opinion and thinks theirs is the correct one, it's the human condition.
