For example, people actually say they are 14 and their school, and ask for the schedule for that school. Don't these kids know that this is not a safe thing to do?

  1. Well, an age and a school are kind of vague...

Plus, this Yahoo! Answers community is supposed to be all safe and stuff, thought it won't ever be...

It's just that it's extremely unlikely for someone to get all of your information just by knowing what school you go to. Trying to sift through over a thousand kids from a typical school just to get to one random kid you don't even know, but want to pursue, is like...

    Yeah,

    sort of not happening...

  2. I think a lot of people this age have no idea that all schools work differently.  I'm always amazed at what people think we'll all know the answer to, but I guess that's what youth + Internet access equals.

No, I've noticed that most young teens and pre-teens have no idea what is and isn't safe (or at least isn't terribly wise) to be telling the whole world about them.

  3. apperantly not....they are like baby sea turtles...they are just trying to learn...

  4. No one can get your information by knowing your age and school without even knowing your name!!
