Why do people believe the lies that liberal organizations such as NASA and the IPCC tell them?

Because the news media convinced them back in the sixties that NASA was a red blooded All American male dominated outfit that did heroic things.  Now that the race to the moon is long over they are nothing more than a recipient for Welfare for Eggheads, now dominated by Trekkies with gray hair.  And that welfare comes at a price, such as the affirmative action program for astronauts that got a card carrying NEA member killed on the Challenger.

I guess if you call being intelligent,then,yes,scientists tend to be liberals. So what? All of a sudden 'smart' people are a 'problem'?    Do you 'believe' that we're 'floating' in space? How's that "Theory of Gravity" working out for ya? Science still hasn't come to full agreement on how it works,but you're still able to drop stuff just fine. When I went to school,the teacher told us that the continents were shaped like puzzle pieces because it was God's plan. I knew she was whacked! Even at 7, in 1959,I had already read the Encyclopedia,and she couldn't fool me! I didn't know until later that 'continental drift'  had then, just been a 'hypothesis',now we have proof,we call it a 'theory'.    I could've just 'believed' my ignorant teacher,but I chose to be a smart,and liberal free thinking American! People back then thought the Moon was made out of green cheese! lol!

Do you by any chance listen to Rush Limbaugh?  He has a well refined technique of using the big 'L' word in order to "discredit" anyone he wants.  Rather than wasting time with science or pesky facts, just throw the 'L' word at every organization who disagrees with you, then you've "won" the debate!  LOL

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration?  The National Academy of Sciences? Chinese  Academy of Sciences? American Meteorological Society? American Geophysical Union? National Center for Atmospheric Research? Environmental Protection Agency? Texas A&M - Department of Atmospheric Sciences?  All these are just liberal hack organizations because they disagree with you right?

Maybe, it is there use of scientific methods instead of just assuming that everybody that is involved with a government organization is part of a vast liberal conspiracy.

I know you always hated school, because most Conservatives are uneducated. And that the only book you ever read is the Bible so I will quote from it. I am sorry, I could not resist that after what you said about scientists.

It seems from the answers that most posters didn't realise that NASA was a politically left wing organisation (or at least an organisation where the vast majority of it's members are politically left wing).  These people know little about the science of demographics.

Most people in education institutions, the media and government departments consider themsleves to be quite objective and moderate.  They also wonder how the Republicans get into office when nobody they know votes for them.  They conclude the only thing that makes sense to their perception of the world is that only uneducated people are politically right wing (despite the reality of the situation being that people with college educations are more likey to be politically right wing).

It seems that they've been in education institutions, the media or government departments for so long that they've never realised that there is a rest of the world out there.

Lies???  NASA and IPCC Liberal organizations?? Give me a break?  I am a 'Moderate" and if you are talking about global warming/climate change---Guess what?  It's 100% true.  Glaciers have been and are melting rapidly because the earth is heating up.  Why is it heating up?  Because the majority of scientists (who are not 'liberals') have concrete evidence that fossil fuels (e.g. carbon dioxide, coal soot and methane gases) are going up in the earth's atmosphere trapping solar radiation and heat  and causing the 'greenhouse effect'

I suggest you start getting the 100% accurate (and moderate) truth by checking out my blog with the TRUE FACT everyone on this planet needs to know about global warming. If you still think that 'liberals' are feeding people 'lies', you need to seriously get your head examined because liberals are not the ones lying, (although Bill Clinton isn't Mr. Honesty himself) George W. for a start I am still amazed at the American ability to brand anything they don't like as "Liberal" and make any assumption they like about them thereafter.

what so bad about Liberals ? why do you assume thay automatically want to lie and take away freedoms ( as you often state) , I thought that Americans thought Liberals were a problem because they gave too many freedoms ? like allowing g*y marriage et al.
