Why do people block each other?

I ask here because I am trying to view a question and it says I cannot view it so it only leads me to believe I am blocked?!! Why do people get so offended by someone on the internet that they would block them?

I have only blocked one person, lol cus he blocked me. he probably blocked me , cus I told him what a weirdo basically he was, we all know him, the Super Jew I think his name is. The one saying his nephew who is 5 or 6 months old brings him sodas and plays playstation with him.

So like him, he didnt like my answers and I told it like it is , that's probably what happen in your case. Don;t worry too much or let it bother you, cant make everyone happy ...<3

Mostly because of rude answers or they just didn't like what you had to say.

I mostly only blocked when I was verbally attacked and harassed in emails by some of the people on here.I didn't want to deal with them anymore so I blocked them.Then I imagine some people just block people just because.There isn't always a reason.

lol...I know...I am blocked by one of the users on here but she has some issues I think.  Dont let it bother you!!  You probably just didnt give them what they wanted to hear a/or you didnt agree with the "superior" parenting that you SOMETIMES (not always) see from a few!!

That is a great question.  I do not know.  For some reason people do not like other people's opinion even when they ask for it.  When you ask a question.  You will get an answer.  It does not mean you will like that answer.

& i know of a few girls that blocked me so when they ask i know i can't answer... Their loss because i know i could help =]

maybe you said something before to offend them and they don't want your input anymore

Sometimes people's opinions turn into harrassment...like they always answer your questions with nasty remarks.  I blocked a person who emailed me and called me names, I just generally don't need that kind of opinion.  I'm very open to hearing what other's say but something said in an intentionally nasty way is not worth my time.

Well I have a few people blocked, but thats only because they would email me and harass me because my answer was not what they wanted to hear.  Im always nice when I answer questions, but I give my opinion, and some people only want to hear what they want to hear.

Usually because you gave them an answer that they didn't want to hear.

I've only blocked one person. I answered a question of theirs and I guess they got really offended. This person first sent me a long e-mail, calling me everything in the book, and ending it with "You're a horse face...." I admit I laughed at that... :) They then reported my answer. So, I just blocked them. I didn't want have have to deal with an angry teenager.....

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you *did* offend them so bad that they blocked you, then you were probably right to begin with....:)

I have blocked two people since I joined. I blocked both of them because I felt that their answers (not just to my questions but to many peoples' questions) were rude, inappropriate, and uneducated.

I guess I thought it would be better to not see their answers than to see them and get riled up.

I totally understand blocking someone who has been harassing you. Everyone has an opinion and not all opinions are the same. I think that you can answer someones question without being rude though, Some people just don't understand that. Blocking someone just because you don't like their answer is just childish. Give them a thumbs down. Jeez! Just my opinion :)
