Question:

Why do people bodyboard?

Having bodyboarded before I started surfing, I can't understand why people settle for less. Is surfing too hard/intimidating? Are some people to lazy/proud to suck at it for while before figuring surfing out? And another thing, how come bodyboarders call bodyboarding surfing, because it's not the same thing...

  1. Having surfed before I started bodyboarding I can say that you are a r****d. "Settle for less"????? "Lazy/Proud"??? I've been bodyboarding for 20 years and still stand up surf occasionally, both long and short board. Maybe us bodyboarders have more fun getting deeper barrels and busting more acrobatic tricks. Ever think of that???? Come out to Hawaii and try that vibe here. You'll see me false crack your *** right after I backflip over your head. Fkn donkey.

  2. You should write a book about it.  Call it "My way is the only way you can do anything in the world".  That way, you can sell one copy, to yourself, because that's who's interested in what you think is "good" and "bad" in water sports.

  3. I've used body surfing to teach my nieces and nephews how to catch a wave before graduating up to a boogey board or surfboard.  On days when surf is really blown out, I'll go body surf or break out the boogey board.  I wouldn't say people are lazy, perhaps they just don't have the physical ability to surf, or one step better, they actually enjoy it.  And just about anyone can do it...

  5. they're all a bunch of *******.

  6. Some people say it's really fun, and they prefer bodyboarding than surfing. I'm not really good at bodyboarding...and I don't enjoy it much, but I would like to learn to surf. It looks amazing.
