Why do people bully customer service representitives ?

What gives you the right to treat a defensless person like that ?

Yout want to abuse someone ? Why not meet them in the car park after work and fight it out on equal terms... cowards.

I'm going to become a bouncer and I cannot wait to bash my first trouble maker.

  1. Callers bully CSRs sometimes because they're frustrated: the company has made a mistake and customers take it out on the first person they talk to. Other callers bully CSRs because they're, well, bullies.

It is probably because "customer service representative" is a misnomer. 99.9 percent of customer service is a sham not meant to give service or remedy a problem but to stall and try to make the displeased customer go away. This creates a sense of frustration by the customer who is not getting service. Imagine if you have a flat tire and take you flat tire to the flat tire fix it shop and they offer to do everything but fix your tire.

  4. The reason why is they are usually insecure about themselves and they wish to take it out on the innocent people, just so that they can feel better about themselves.
