Why do people buy counterfeit items?

I've answered 3 questions each asking me if so and so website sold real Nike shoes and other merchandise.

Is there really any point in asking?

You have a website name with Kickshusta, and think its real?

When you buy a brand name item, you shouldn't be buying the brand you should be buying the quality of the product. So why do people even buy counterfeit items?

I was with my friend once and asked her how much her wallet was, she was like oh its fake. If your then going around telling people it is fake, whats the point of buying it in the first place? Its obviously not high quality and you don't get brand status either.

I totally agree. For instance, I rather spend money on good quality clothes rather than buying cheap ones. I'd rather buy a real coach bag rather than a fake one, etc. It's all about quality and good taste. Buying good quality makes you look better and feel better..it is somewhat satisfying.

Not all people can afford the real name brand item and everyone wants a piece of luxury, so they buy fake. I have some fake things and some real store bought Louis Vutton handbags. Most people can't afford the real thing so they go for the next best one.
