Why do people buy stuff from amazon?

Question

Aren't they all used product? Why would you want used products? Wouldn't you want new items?

If I'm wrong and they are new, why are individuals selling them? I'm so lost with all this amazon and ebay stuff. help?

They do sell new & used items. Usually I'll buy books or instructional dvd's off of Amazon because they're not that important. Sometimes the new items on Amazon are cheaper than the old ones! It doesn't make sense to me but I've seen that type of stuff before.

As far as Ebay goes some people get really good deals on products, old or new, put them on Ebay and get more money out of them than they actually purchased them for. A friend of mine was selling a brand new, never out of the box, Canon Rebel XTi ( which are very expensive cameras ) on Ebay. I had no idea why it was just stashed away in his closet somewhere and he never used it, but that's just how some people are.

amazon is new OR used items. the purpose to buy used items is to get things that are no longer available for purchase as new or to save money. movies/books out of print or for $1, discount electronics, etc amazon is a wonderful resource.
