Why do people call it the "share market" and not the stock market?

  1. i still call it stock market

    but share market is the same you trade shares of company


  2. shares are traded, not stock.

  3. It is called a stockmarket. Or Stock Exchange (London Stock Exchange, NY stock exchange). Because companies' shares are traded there, some people call it , naturally, the sharemarket, although I haven't heard share exchange.

    I think we all know what they mean.

  4. its because technically when ure buying so called stock ure buying shares which originally meant (ages ago when share concept first started)  you where buying a share of a company so u owned part of a company
