...when he's still selling albums and getting radio play, and artists like Rakim, Q-tip, and many others aren't? I mean, I personally like Doggystyle better than anything else he has done, but the guy knows how to stay relevant to the new generation and change with the times. You gotta respect him for that. Not many artists have as long a career as he has had and are still popular.

  1. i don't get what all the grief with snoop dogg is all about. i know why though, it's because he let up and coming rappers write most or all of the songs on his latest album. but the reason why he did that is because dr dre did the same thing for him when he was an up and comer. he's trying to instill the skills needed to be a rapper into the next generation just like dre did for him. and that is why people are calling him washed up. he is more than capable of writing his own material but he's trying to let others get their chance.

  2. I agree with you, same thing with LL Cool J. But you have to admit sensual seduction and my medicine might have been snoops worst songs ever.

  3. I feel that some people may judge him like that because he used to be all street, Now (in my opinion) He's to d**n mtv. Or many people may be hatin on him smokin dank?

  4. Snoop is washed up, and he did fall off. so did everyone else you mentioned

  5. I feel u. Snoop is definently not washed up. He re-invents himself. He has been in the game a minute now and continues to switch it up. Whether cats like it or not. He is still relevant.

Early in his career he knew that Dre was the ticket. His best material was when Dre was behind the boards providin him with that fire. But I think Snoop wanted to show that it was not all about Dre's beats. He wanted to show cats that he was talented on his own. Whether u think he has succeeded or not is a matter of opinion. But he is still here. And by the looks of it ain't goin nowhere no time soon.

If those who thought he fell off thinks that he is washed up, they really will when they hear his next album ," Malice In Wonderland". Its supposed to be a rock album. The dude is just spreading his wings. Making funk, country, rock, and pop music. He is 36 now and realizes that he can't stay in one genre of music. He is lookin at the bigger picture; performing internationally. He ain't washed up. He is just gettin started

  6. I think the reason why people say he fell off was cus of his new material he's putting out there. Compared to some of his old stuff you could tell dude was hungry and was willing to go hard on his flows and deliver them really great. But now he's stuff has lost substance and are not as good as before. Yes he still is relevant and still in the picture but he's material is not as good.

  7. Because all anyone does on here is complain that rap "isn't what it used to be" when most users weren't even born until the tail end of the 90s anyways.

That doesn't change the fact that Snoop blows now, though.

  8. yeah he still sells records & everything but when it comes to quality, snoop has fell off BIG time. His last solid album was The Last Meal.

  9. I love Snoop no matter what.  But, I guess some people measure a success of an artist by the number of albums they sale, which is all fine and dandy, but I don't necessarily think he's 'washed' up.  His flow isn't as tight as it was when he came out with Doggystyle, which I might add is my fav from him as well, but, I bet you he still could spit it out like "gin and juice" if he wanted to.  As far as a stardom career goes for Snoop, he is more lovable now and well recognized within a variety of age groups, heck even my mama knows who Snoop Dogg is and she's old (sorry no offense mama)

  10. he just decline this year his new album sucked and that sensual seduction is a horrible song!!!

  11. So what if he gets radio play, Shawty Lo and Flo-Rida and other radio 'artists' get more then him, does that mean they are better then Rakim?

People say Snoop fell off because his new stuff is nowhere near the level his old stuff was, pretty simple reason if you ask me.
