People seem to be more worried about the stars. Even David Walker the comptroller of the USA says we are doomed.

The dollar is crashing, we will be without jobs and possibly food. WTF, the stars?

  1. I absolutely agree with you. It's an aspect of the dumbing down of society. They want this.

They want ignorant and docile citizens who will let them get away with murder.

Also, I think for a lot of people, seeing the problems that a lot of these "celebrities" have makes them feel better about themselves as if their lives were any better. Same with reality tv. People watch those shows simply because they don't want to create their own lives and live through others. That's my perspective.

We've become a society of want's and not needs as well, so we spend excessively and beyond our means, causing a lot of people to go into debt. Rich get richer and the poor get poorer and grow in numbers.

We've also become a society of convenience. When the food supply isn't what it used to be, a lot of people won't know what to do and a lot of people won't survive. Just what they want too...

Just my thoughts, people don't have to agree with them obviously.

  2. Honey people like to watch other people's troubles because it takes their mind off their own.

  3. Only the g**s follow the likes of celebs like B.S.

  4. You are right! It makes no sense! I guess people want to scape their own reality somehow.

  5. To me its the fact that the media wants the population to dumben down and to ingore the real facts about what is going on. As time has progressed, people are using every excuse possible so that way they don't have to deal with reality.

I don't like the fact that more and more "reality" shows keep coming out and there are more and more hours on television channels being dedicated to celebrity news. I can honesly care less about 99% of celebrities and to me they make too much  money and get too much attention from people. Plus the media tries to drill the fact into peoples heads that its better to pay attention to celebrities' lives instead of a political race. A great example of this is American Idol. More people vote for the top contestant compared to the presidentail race. Come on, how the h**l is the f'ing American Idol is going to deal with world issues and issues within the U.S.?

I hope something can be done to reverse this trend. If people can come to their senses and use their brains, I'm sure many problems that exist in society can be addressed in a more appropriate and a more timely manner instead of people being obsessed if some celebrity doesn't like to watch baseball.

  6. It's a deliberate distraction by the Mainstream Media.

I'm pretty sure the American people would riot in the streets if they knew what was coming down.

The expression "bread and circuses" comes to mind.

  7. good question man! somehow i picture america burying their head in the sand when i think of this. history repeats itself. we learned from the great depression. that wont happen again. this has been happening ever since america became a country. be greatful for everything that you DO have and try not to worry about something you cant control. just be educated.

  8. it gives them a break from the real world.
