Question:

Why do people care if others like/dislike their favorite players?

I'm a SF Giants fan and a Barry Bonds fan. People have been hating on him long before the steroid allegations. At least I can recognize the guy is somewhat of a jerk and not the most popular guy in the clubhouse. I could care less what others think of him. Why can't fans recognize that their favorite players aren't perfect and others have legitimate reasons for not liking them?

  1. I really don't care if they like or dislike my favorite player.  He's Tim Duncan.  I appreciate his skill and I know what kind of player he is.  I don't need anyone to agree or disagree with me.  My favorite player isn't even on my favorite team.

Most Kobe Jockers feel that everyone must agree that Kobe is the best and if we don't we are haters.  LOL.

  2. I dont know. People are just too sensitive these days.

  3. I think all people tend to get a little delusional when it comes to sports.  We can get very passionate for the folks and teams we support but the exact opposite to their rivals

  4. I totally get where you are comin from and I usually don't care if people don't like my favorite team or my favorite player unless they hate on them for no reason ya know. They at least have to have a legit reason for hatin them not stupid stuff like I hear (about my favorite team the SUNS) "they're old", "they suck", blahh blahh, first off why does it matter if they are old the Spurs and Celtics are the two oldest teams in the league and they both are world champs so thats dumb. And everyone with a brain knows they don't suck they are just championship challenged. If people have legit claims then I'm completely fine with it and I respect their opinions but they just can't run their mouths!!

  5. Because a lot of the time people don't have a legit reason for disliking them.  I'll bet 70 percent of Red Sox fans hate Derek Jeter just because he's a Yankee (and a d**n good one).

On the flipside, I'll bet that 70 percent of Yankee fans hated Manny.

Dear Scalabrini: Congrats, you're one of the 30 percent not included in my ******* example.

And hated is in the past tense bud.

  6. Because they're a bunch of snowflakes who m********e watching other people agree with them.

  7. its jus how fans work  dude

  8. Hip-Hop An.: I'm a Red Sox fan and I like Derek Jeter. Also, why would a Yankee fan hate a Dodger. Hey buddy, Manny has left bean town and the bombers have already started to hate jason bay.

Now to answer the question: I hate Barry Bonds
