Why do people categorize me as white even im asian?

my friends often forget im asian for example my friends like we are all white here and i was like im asian and hes like o yeah... i look asian but i dont have like small squinty eyes like chinese poeple mines more opened but i still have single eyelid meaning no crease/line on my eyelid. what is up with that?

Fairly common issue. A lot of Asians don't have the sort of stereotypical features. Even when you have them, a lot of people have trouble telling the difference sometimes until they get a very close view. People mistaken me (I'm Northern Chinese) for being half or Arab or Eastern European all the time. There's nothing wrong with you. You'll get used to it all. Maybe you should post a picture of yourself and we can all have a look an see?

Because white people know that asians are doing better than them. In order to accept this they say whites and asians are the same. It's just denial

maybe they just ignant or asian people are considered white instead of yellow nowadays but you betta tell them straight up yoo, IM ASIAN, better represent yoo pride.... TELL THEM ASIAN PRIDE WORLDWIDE.

Stop making generalizations about Chinese people. Not all of em have "small, squinty" eyes. I don't. My whole family doesn't.

I don't make a big deal if someone thinks I'm another race.                        No one but you cares anyway. I bet you're Filipino.
