Why do people cheat when under the influence of alcohol?

My gf went down on some guy ,She said it means nothing and she is sorry and **** like that and she didnt no what she was doing she was to drunk

i dont no what to do if you were in this possition would you forgive her

I think they cheat and use the under the influence of alcohol as an excuse - I for one become more confident and relaxed when I have had a drink but when in a relationship have never cheated just cos I had a few too many

If this is the first time it has happened and you love her then it is up to you whether you forgive her - will you be able to trust her everytime she goes out or will it eat away at you the thought of her doing something stupid should she get drunk again!!

Alcohol reduces inhibitions and impairs judgment making you more likely to do things you want to do, but from which you would normally refrain.  It's quite likely she had no real idea what she was doing and simply reacted to a basic sexual impulse, things like fidelity and chastity are learned behaviors, not something that is inborn.  In your position I wouldn't worry about a one time event, if she starts to make a habit of it then it becomes a different matter.
