  1. Its for attention definitely. You should know, aren't you doing the same now?

  2. because they like attention and to be told that they're "perfect" and shouldn't be dieting

  3. people will do almost anything for attention! even pretend to have an awful mental illness, apparently. and it doesn't really cost anything or hurt anyone to fake something like that, so i suppose you just have to accept that there are people like that and let it go.

sparkle - people with anorexia nervosa (for example) actuallly have immense self-control, it's just misplaced. it takes a heck of a lot of willpower to starve yourself successfully. ask any dieter.

  4. Because some people think that it's 'cool' to have an eating disorder.  It doesn't help that models are reputed to have them.

  5. I dont know...i would never claim to have a eating disorder...i dont think its something i would be proud of if i did have one...i would actually be really ashamed ..its weak...and shows very little self control...

  6. Most people who claim to have an eating disorder really don't. I've met a few in my time. They will never eat in front of people or pretend to go and puke, and make a big deal of it. it's just for the attention. It's the same type of person who cuts themselves for the attention they get and no other reason.

  7. peer pressure, depression...

but there isn´t anything that you cant get over

and to begin with you really have to tell someone that can help

    good luck

  8. The problem is that half the people that have eating disorders DON'T and CAN'T admit they have one.

They are a complete nightmare and cause all sorts of problems.  My heart bleeds for any suffer but it is society that breeds this illness i.e. size 0 and all that rubbish.  The need to stay in control and be thin kills too many good people I'm afraid.

  9. Because dieting takes to long, so they don't eat. An eating disorder is a compulsion to eat, or avoid eating, that negatively affects both ones physical and mental health. Eating disorders are all encompassing.
