Why do people come to yahoo!answers to get permission to kill themselves?

That's what those darn questions sound like to me. Anyone else fed up with that mess?

Because they are looking for just one person to talk them out of it. Most people who commit suicide don't go around and ask permission to do it. Then you have those people who are attention whores and need to be the center of someones attention be it negative or positive. The later are the ones that I don't feel sorry for.
