Why do people consider irish people drunks?

That makes me angry i fee like when i every drink people make stupid comments

I think anyone who has the idea that all Irish people are drunks are small minded and ignorant, yes it's a big part of the culture but no more than England and Australia etc...I guess like everywhere you'll always have that certain few that loose control and there are people out there that will label all Irish the same because of that...I'm Irish and I can confirm "WE'RE NOT ALL DRUNKS!!


  2. I am half Irish. The Irish side of my family has a long history of alcoholism, underachievement and trouble of every sort. This spans generations, as far as I can see. I know many other Irish, and they are one of the drunkest group of people I know. Topped only by the Russians perhaps. It is quite sad to see ones family wiped out, self destructed by the booze. They seem unable to stop!
