  1. People blame soldiers for the war, when in fact it is not the soldier but the Government. Those people make me sick.

  2. Neither do I. It's pathetic, I can't even wear my uniform after drills anymore because of the dirty looks I receive. I mean I have mostly men that come up to me and shake my hand all the time telling me they appreciate my service all the time but I get just as many bad looks. You know people just can't always understand that I swore to my oath to protect this country and some want to look at me dirty for that bothers me but I just keep my head high and keep walking because I know what I'm doing is right.

  3. some people cant stand the idea that we have to fight to maintain "the free world" some people belive that our constitution and constitutional rights will fight for us. some of these people are the "liberal hippies" that didnt die off from the vietnam era and were able to pass on their ideals to their offspring there for contaminating the rest of the world with dishonor. they dont relize that we fight for eachother. not for politics. if a war is driven by politics like has been said about the current war. they dont understand that we have to maintain a military to protect our shores. since 9/11, have we had anymore attacks on that scale? or on any scale for that matter? it is better that we fight our enemies on their turf then allow them on our soil. people dont understand that casualties are a fact of war. always has been. we do what we can to reduce civilian casualties but even in past wars, civilians have died as a result of wrong place, wrong time. we can only control them so much. we are just trying to do the job we swore in to do.

To protect and safeguard the rights of other is the most noble and beautiful end of a human being - Unknown

  4. Because a high percentage have no clue what we do or what we stand for. You never hear of the Humanitarian Missions where we go in and rebuild schools and orphanages. All that's ever heard is the atrocities that were committed. It's a sad state of affairs when the general population of the country has never served it.

  5. that is the catch 22 of being in the armed services. you protect all americans no matter how stupid their beliefs. that is your duty and it is an honor. by fighting i have given them their very right to protest...so in my heart of hearts i know that i am better than they are. f*ckers...

"patriots always talk of dying for their country and never about killing for it"  -unknown

  6. Because they were smoking pot and tripping on LSD back in their glorious hippy days.  Then they pass on this ideological belief to their children to disrespect all servicemembers.  I am a United State Marine that served my time to perserve the anti-military citizens of the United States.  I am not angry, but fortunate and proud that they get to exercise their right of the 1st Amendment, Freedom of Speech.  I actually encourage them to exercise their rights; in which we servicemembers have provide them!  They may be naive, because they see the US Military as an entity within the US Gov't and not as young men and women (whose Armed Forces are made of people ages 18-28-years old, mostly!).  I know a few of my buddies that never came home alive, 'we' have sacrifices our own freedom for others!  We made that oath, we swore to defend our Country!  We volunteered for such committment, not volun-told!

I just wish that they would rather disrespect the UN's decision on the predicament in Iraq instead of the people who provide the freedom that the bask everyday of their precious lives!   Since the US didn't initiate the call ([again] only naive people would believe that we did!), our democratic (that means 'governed body of the citizens', for those uneducated Berkley Code Pink-types).  'We' the People, our neighbors and friends decided that invading Iraq was a wise thing to do, glorious bipartisan government we live in - majority rules!

NOTE:  If only our own citizens knew what it is like to travel abroad to other countries that envy our freedom that we take for granted.  I guarantee that they will be greatful that SOFA exists because 'we' miltiary have improved relations with foreign governments.

  7. Because a Soldier banged his wife and she won't stop talking about how good it was. JKJK

It's ignorance, most of the time its a petulant child trying to seem like a bad *** in front of friend or rebellious to their parents.   But these are the same people that see you in the airport while in uniform they are too afraid to say anything to your face.  So for my part I am not concerned with those people.

  8. I don't either.  As a Marine, I don't agree with the way many people express themselves, but I will defend to the death their right to do so in our country.
