Sure, sure there not pure boxing pedigree but it looks good to me. Chuck liddel, wanderlei silva, Robbie lawler, Tim sylvia, vitor belfort, Alexander Houston, Spencer Fisher and Keith Jardine mostly use boxing srikes. even kimbo slice fans like his stand up game( Stand up is what the crowd loves). i dont get why most mma fans dont like boxing skills. Man i love all fighting sports, if you only like one and bash others, i guess your not a real fight enthusiast.

  1. You are right. Most people appreciated all arts, whether it is boxing, karate, Jiujitsu or muay thai...etc...but a few jerks always try divide the athletes and created problems and uneccessary controversials.

  2. I guess because in MMA they use a whole lot more kicks also.

  3. i dont hate boxing

i hate how the fights are set up and such

and i hate how theres the same repitition of punch punch punch

MMA you need to look out for elbows, knees, fists, feet, submissions

you need to stay more alert and focused

you talk about people using boxing skills to knock people out

theres either your legs or your arms that will knock someone out and generally putting your legs above your hips increases your chances of being off balance

this is why people devote to punching to knockout an opponent

  4. I think you may be misinterpreting it a little bit.

most people dog "boxers" not boxing.

and yes there is a difference.  pure and simple boxers who think they are fighters make mma fans fierce.

Most of the time when a striker gets bad mouthed its because they have had what seems to be some "lucky" strikes that cause what people call "upsets".

luck is preparation meeting opportunity. and the other guys should have had a more fool proof defense.  end of story

  5. I think the reason everyone switched to watching MMA is the competition is much better almost every match up someone has a chance to win in boxing most fights are miss matches

  6. boxing is  a martial art-a lot of MMA fans think that the sport is the final word on all of fighting , but I think that's bull.  It tries to incorporate all aspects the best it can for a TV audience , but it never totally will.  Only when you fight for your life will the final word on fighting come out.   Hopefully we never have to do that.
