  1. No but it does open up the liability issue if that person should have an accident, they would look like a fool trying to explain this.

  2. NO...they might be pointing in the correct direction but there traveling in the wrong direction...

  3. It depends on why you were backing up, and the distance. If you're parallel  parking, you need to back into the space, and that's fine. If the vehicle in front of you stalls, backing up may be necessary in order to go around it. Nothing wrong with that, and no cop is going to give you a ticket for it.

But if you back up several feet to turn into a driveway, parking lot, or street you missed, that's another story. Highly illegal, and you could be ticketed.

  4. Driving in reverse on any street for any length of time is not legal. I also am pretty sure that as far as a law goes...at least where I live...that it's illegal for a vehicle to even back out onto a public street...so..to answer your question...no...it is NOT legal to drive in reverse going the wrong way on a one way street.

  5. Backing up on a street is illegal except for parking.

  6. They do it because they are stupid,    and being stupid does not make it legal.

  7. No..I don't believe so.
