Why do people eat mushrooms?

So many people eat them why, whats the main reason.

i have no clue.  i would love to know what happened when someone plucked one of those nasty little things off of a decomposing log for the first time and said, "hey, this looks delicious!"  their friend was probably like, "man, you are out of your freakin mind."

i prefer my food to be fungi-free.

i'm seriously questioning my love for quorn products, which as it turns out are mold.  ick.

Well it depends on if you mean regular mushrooms....if so then its becaue they taste good.

If you mean mushrooms as in "shrooms" then it is to get high !!!!!!
