  1. they have no life or they deeply believe that nader is a better choice.

a real wasted vote would be to vote for mccain/palin.

    VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN'08

  2. some people don't agree with either rep/dem parties ideologies

people usually cast their votes based on how much they agree with the candidate

so it might be a factor

  3. NADER IS SO s**y

  4. Maybe because they actually agree with what he is saying.

  5. Why do you even bother taking another breath, when you're clearly dumb as dirt? It's not a wasted vote, it's the only thing even slightly keeping the major parties in check. Ever heard of voting for someone you actually agree with instead of a bunch of powerful idiots who start new wars and bankrupt our country? Wanna know why the economy sucks *** right now? It's because idiots like you keep voting for the same old ****...it's called inflation, look it up. Your candidate says he can fix the economy while simultaneously fighting infinite wars with infinite price tags. HEY DUMBASS WE PAY FOR THAT! You can't separate the economy from foreign policy although I don't expect you can even comprehend what I'm saying. We would be better off if people like you were strapped to the bombs we drop in Iraq.

  6. [ edit: ventura on the matter-

"Remember something, if you will, about voting: voting is not a horse race. You're not going there, gee i gotta pick the winner, so I can brag to my friends, I picked so and so and he or she won. Voting is voting your heart and voting your conscience. ( unintelligible) don't ever, ever let a democrat or Republican tell you you've wasted your vote. In fact, the fact is, if you don't vote your heart and conscience, then you have wasted your vote. (unintelligible) the key to all of this, and I know, I have a little bit of experience, the key to all of this is we must open up the debates." ]

jesse ventura said it yesterday (on c-span2 aired at the counter-convention) to some degree: a wasted vote to me is one that isnt backed by your heart and conscience.

i would never just pick the lesser of two evils.  additionally, history has shown that the main parties are influenced by 3rd party candidates because they want the votes.  also, it wasnt until recently that tax payer money goes in to finance democrat and republican candidates which is bias and outright unfair.  in case you are wondering i'm voting for bob barr, because i like everyone he stands for.  period.  i would have voted for ron paul if i could have, who is a true conservative.  have you ever looked up who is running instead of just watching the coverage of mud flinging on mainstream media?

also, so many people say they would vote for barr or nader or mckinney, etc, but he doesnt have a chance, but that logic is flawed because he would have a better chance if all the people who said did vote for him.

  7. You know, a third party may surprise us one day . Don't get me wrong, I don't want Nader either , but there may be a true voice hiding in the midst's of all that unknown territory. Wasted? Maybe not, but for now I still support my party & I believe we are making the right choice by voting McCain/ Palin. Just a thought, don't shoot me, please. Ha Ha.

  8. By your logic that would mean the Democratic and Republican parties have existed since 1776. This is clearly not the case. Though the Democratic party claims roots with the Democratic-Republican party founded in 1792 it is really an 1830's offshoot. Republicans enter the political arena as a third party in 1854.

It's third parties that allow American politics to change to meet evolving political problems especially when the existing parties become entrenched in antiquated policies.

  9. I vote for Nikki.  You're hot!

  10. It's better than voting for the warmonger/airhead ticket.

Who are you to question why people vote the way they do?

  11. because their bubble gum has lost it's flavor ! wink.... tb

  12. So true, especially this year.

I hope someday we have a third party candidate / party that has power...so far, well, ....

  13. Because they are rebels without a cause!

  14. Wasting vote is one thing, exercising right is another..

Maybe that is the action we have to take.. if we all do that, the votes will not be wasted..............

  15. YOUR VOTE IS WAISTED IF YOU CHOSE BETWEEN TWO CANDIDATES YOU DONT LIKE......

YOU HAVE TO VOTE YOUR HEART AND YOUR MIND ....NOT WHAT FOX NEWS OR CNN TELLS YOU TOO.

THE TWO PARTIES IS A JOKE

THATS ONE MORE SELECTION THEN COMMUNIST CHINA.....AND THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY...??? PLEASE

VOTE NADER  VOTE ANYONE OTHER THEN THESE TWO LIARS

  16. The threat of siphoning votes will force major party to pay attention to the third party issues. If the issues ring loudly, then they will have more chance of being accomodated somehow. Without third party, some issues will be swept aside hopelessly.
