Why do people fail in trade schools?

  1. Well, I can't generalize completely and I really don't know about these days but I will tell you that when I was in trade school the people who failed were the ones who were only there because their parents told them to be. The people like me, who had been supporting ourselves and chose school as a way to improve our lives worked really hard and did really well too. It's like anything else, you have to value it. Anyone can fail at anything if they don't care to do well.

    On the other hand some trade school courses are really challenging and require a fair amount of mathematical ability, like machining and patternmaking. Also I suppose anything can be hard for someone. I KNOW I'd make a lousy cosmetologist. So I guess there's no one reason, as usual in life.
