Why do people find incest so immoral?

Really, there's nothing wrong with it. If two people love each other they should be able to do anything they want. Sure there's a chance of have a 6 armed baby, but there's these things called condoms, dunno if you've heard of them, and getting your tubes tied. Besides the ick factor there's no reason tho be so against it. It's all just opinion of course, like homosexuality, which I find unnatural.

There's this thing in our society called the "incest taboo," and that's the ick factor. It's what keeps boys and girls (even unrelated) who grow up in the same family from falling in love. We, as a society, just think it's gross. You're pretty open minded on incest, but you worry about homosexuality, which is totally natural and being proven more every day to be biological in nature. Weird.

It is a carryover from before reliable birth control was available. In this country most people base their beliefs on what some interpretation of the bible says. You can't expect them to be rational.

Nothing wrong with it?  Well, our acestors disagreed....they figured out that if you marry your sister and spawned offspring, eventually your genetic line died out.  According to evolutionary theory, people want ther genes to survive so incest is bad, ummmmkay?  Not only that though...there is love and then there is power, and it is often acknowledged from a moral standpoint that if two people love each other but if one of those people has power over the other one, then the "love" they have is impure and tainted.  Western philospohy is rife with this idea, even outside religious circles.  A child may love his mom and dad and may want to please them and be loved in return....but that doesn't mean the child wants to be loved like THAT.  A parent who abuses the power they have over their child who loves them in order to have an incestuous relationship is a imoral person.  Also, because their imoral activities might result in the discontinuation of their familial line, they are also a stupid person.  Good luck sorting out the issues in your life.

cuz if u have siblings, then u would know just the IDEA of even picturing them naked (not even having s*x with them) is like nails to the chalk board!
