Why do people find me so intimidating at first glance? My chart inside?

Question

Whenever I go someplace new, I find that people keep their distance. Why? I have no clue. I have a pretty friendly dis-position, people don't see that at first though. People rarely approach me. I always have to be the one to introduce myself, and once I do, they seem to enjoy my company enough. I just don't get it. I asked one of my friends what she thought of me when she first met me, and she said I looked unapproachable. As if, I didn't have any interest in making friends, which is never the case, I think socializing is a great thing. Its getting me really frustrated. Everyone else can make friends in the blink of an eye, and I'm the one in the corner looking "unapproachable." -.-

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me what aspect of my chart makes me like this

i am by nature rather self contained and strangers seem to

keep their distance.   i have learned to smile and strike up

a non threatening conversation.  

something like 'did i feel a raindrop or did a bird just fly over'

sets them at ease and lets them know i am just another

person.  practice speaking to someone you are not

acquainted with every day.  soon you will be able to get

a conversation going without all that worrying.

Well I dont really know how to read the charts but I am an Aries and i look intimidating to most people as well. Once Ive introduced myself or make conversation people see how much of a fun and humorous person i am.

People like Libras, for example, are social butterflys and make friends instantly!!!

You don't even have Scorpio in you to make you intimidating. Virgos love to be "perfect" and are organized freaks. Is that what makes people intimidated by you? Do you expect too much from others since you (virgos) have high standards?

I find the same thing used to happen to me.  If you appear unapproachable or intimidating to people....smile.  Make eye contact and give a small smile with your lips or you can give a full smile.   It lets others know that its ok to say hello or talk to you or lets them know that you welcome their possiblity of approaching you.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the charts but I do experience something similar sometimes when I meet new people. Anybody who knows me tells me I am very friendly and nice. However, when I am around new people it sometimes seems to me that they have reservations about approaching me. I try to correct these types of situations by being even more friendly and outgoing than I normally am. I think if you made a little bit more of an effort to look approachable your problem would disappear. Don't wait for others to act, take action and own the situation.

Looking at your chart, I see nothing that would lead to people thinking you are intimidating at first glance. I do see Sun and Venus in conjunction in Virgo, which probably makes you very self-possessed and perhaps distant at first. Maybe that is it. I would say enjoy it.

All that Sag stuff would indicate the reverse especially the moon in the first house.

but..

You have sun cjt venus in virgo ..great combo but could be very shy.........AND that opp to Saturn in the 4th could restrain you. Is Saturn telling you not to show off or display yourself ?

4th house is the unconscious so I would look in there too...unconsciously putting boundaries around yourself but kind of unaware of.

You have aspects to Pluto in the 12th also so maybe you give out "vibes" that you are unapproachable and somewhat mysterious.

Everybody has different sides........how to integrate all can be difficult.

Moon in the first should make you very approachable but maybe a wee bit too sensitive to what people think about you...although in sag.....i would see it as goofing around quite a bit though.

Your jupiter in Sag in the 12th also might not be seen..

Ahh...this 12th house !! Must be the most problematic to understand to others and to oneself. Also the house of undoing.

Could it be that in some way ( I do not know you !!) you could be  your own worst enemy...do not know how though.......

It is totally possible that you have not yet developped nor understood all aspects of your personality. That is normal.....same for everyone..

Hey am both types too..very gregarious but I need my privacy and time alone and NOBODY around me so I can get a bit antisocial  and flippant also when my batteries need recharging.

PS: you also have mars opp Saturn..........mars in libra gee..you would go for socialising but that Saturn might be a pain in the neck...
