Why do people find thongs much more comfortable than briefs or panties?

I think that the question that everyone is asking this season is, "does less coverage always mean more comfort?"

I hear this is especially true for girls and guys in Las Vegas where temperatures can rise to the 120's.

For me. I wear jeans and pants that fit on my body tight. I already have that material squeezed against my ***. I don't need my panties making it worse and causing the dreaded VPL. Boyshorts are good sometimes but i like thongs better.

As far as being in the heat. The less clothing there is the more comfortable it is. that includes panties as well.

I feel thongs are the ugliest excuse ever invented for underwear,nothing sexier than a lady in full cut silky nylon panties,as for the ultra tight pants?get a pair that fit and not so tight and you wont have the prob with obvious panty lines.

I'm an 18yo straight guy and I wear thongs/g strings in the summer - they're a lot more comfortable in the heat.

I always thought that the objective of most individuals, was to avoid "wedgies".  Why intentionally "wedgify" yourself.  Gross too.  I imagine that if you have a string up your butt, you'd inevitably get p**p on it.
